In a significant move to fortify our goalkeeping department, BUL FC is delighted to announce the return of experienced goalkeeper Tom Ikara on a two-year contract.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper has rejoined the Eastern Giants after a fruitful stint with Ethiopian side Sidama Buna where he played a pivotal role in helping the team clinch the Ethiopian cup.
Ikara’s return to BUL FC marks a homecoming of sorts for the talented goalkeeper, who previously donned the BUL FC jersey during the 2023-2024 season.
His instrumental role in the team’s impressive second-place finish during that campaign earned him widespread acclaim and cemented his reputation as a top-notch goalkeeper.
With his aggressive and experienced approach between the posts, Ikara is poised to bring a winning mentality to BUL FC’s goalkeeping unit.
His return is expected to bolster the team’s defensive capabilities and provide a significant boost to the squad’s overall performance.
“I’m excited to come back home ,” Ikara said.
“BUL FC is like a family to me. I feel safe and at home. I’m here to improve the team’s status from where I left it to a higher momentum and make sure we win a lot of trophies.”
“I call upon the fans to come support the team and rally behind us so that we can achieve our targets.”
Coach Abbey reacted on Ikara’s return and said;
“Ikara is talented and aggressive goalkeeper and we are happy to see him back at the club. We are going to work with him to see that we achieve the club’s targets.”
Ikara’s passion and commitment to the team’s success are evident in his words, and the club is eager to see him in action.
