NEWS: DADDY ALONSO JOINS THE EASTERN GIANTS AS HEAD GROUNDSMAN

We are delighted to welcome Rajab Mukose – better known as Daddy Alonso to BUL Football Club  as our new head groundsman.

Mukose has signed a one-year contract with the Eastern Giants and will work significantly to improve and maintain the quality of the playing surface at Kyabazinga Stadium to one we are all proud of, and in time before and or during the new Uganda Premier League season commencement.

Our new groundskeeper joins having worked formerly at newly-promoted Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi FC and the now defunct Sadolin FC in different capacities.

He holds a certificate in football groundskeeping and stadium management.

Rajab is also the founder of the highly decorated Eastern Talent Soccer Academy based in Bugembe.

NEWS: EASTERN GIANTS RENEW CONTRACTS WITH TWO PLAYERS

BUL Football Club has renewed bonds with two players, midfield fulcrum Godfrey Akol and attacker Richard Wandyaka.

The duo have signed a one year contract extension singly and will all stay at the club up to at least 2022.

Akol and Wandyaka joined us from Busoga United and URA FC respectively and they have never looked back since then.

OFFICIAL: BUL FC ACQUIRE TUSABA, KALYOWA

The Eastern Giants can confirm the acquisition of more two new players.

Najib Tusaba Gwaido, a defender, joins BUL Football Club from Onduparaka while experienced goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa comes back as free agent.

Everyone has signed a two-year contract.

“I am excited to join my dream club in Uganda. I am proud to be finally a BUL FC player and I promise better performances come the new season,” Tusaba said after inking the deal.

Kalyowa played for the Eastern Giants between 2015 and 2017 before joining URA, Kyetume and  Nyamityobora respectively

NEWS: OCHORA SIGNS NEW CONTRACT AT BUL.

BUL Football Club Jinja is delighted to announce that Walter Ochora has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until June 2023, with the option to extend for a further year.

Ochora, 24, said: “Since I came to BUL, it’s been a brief period that have passed so quickly. I am very proud to sign my new contract and continue my stay at this great club. I want to thank everybody that showed me huge support, the management, my team-mates and the fans at large.”

“I want to let everyone know that I will give everything I have to repay BUL and deliver success over the years to come. I’m still young with a lot more to learn and I can’t wait to continue my progress under manager Alex Isabirye.”

“Ochora fully deserves this contract. He mastered club’s philosophies very well, he has worked really hard at every level and he always believes in himself which is a great attribute to have for any player.”

Ochora joined BUL FC from KCCA FC in 2019 on loan and after he made his stay permanent in August 2020.

OFFICIAL: BUL FC BOOST SQUAD WITH NIWAMANYA, AYIKO

BUL Football Club has added more two new players to its roster ahead of the new season.

The Eastern Giants have signed goal poacher Dickson Niwamanya from Kigezi Home Boys and defender Richard Ayiko from Onduparaka FC and everyone has signed a two-year deal with the club.

“I was enticed by the high professionalism and organization at BUL FC. And being a defender, I promise to do all I can to keep the balls away from our goal,” Ayiko said.

Ayiko, 27, has previously turned out twice for big league club Maroons FC and also featured for KCCA FC in 2015

OFFICIAL: DOUBLE SIGNING JOY AS MUGANGA, KIRYA JOIN EASTERN GIANTS

BUL Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of two new players, midfield schemer, Jerome Kirya and center back Douglas Muganga.

These two have signed a two-year contract each and join us from neighbours, Busoga United

“I am happy to join BUL FC and I am ready to give all I can to help the team succeed,” Kirya said after signing his contract.

Team Manager Alex Isabirye said the youngster was the missing piece in his team.

“We struggled a lot in the midfield last season. We needed someone who can create chances and I think he is that ‘boy’ Kirya. He is young, creative and very talented. I believe that problem is now solved.”

The midfield schemer made his debut in the Uganda Premier League in 2018/19 season after his meticulous growth through the youths ranks of his former team.

Meanwhile, Muganga said: “I am excited to be part of BUL FC and I promise fans success only.”

The two now brings the number of new recruits to seven on addition to Saidi Keni, Hannington Ssebwalunyo, George Kasonko, Ibra Nsimbe and Ivan Wani

NEWS: TWO JUNIOR TEAM PLAYERS JOIN SENIOR SQUAD

Manager Alex Isabirye has promoted two more promising members of the junior team to the senior squad for the next season.

Owen Mukisa, 18 years old, and Herbert Onyango, 21, have impressed him and will now stay with the first team.

Attacking midfielder Mukisa joined the senior team bubble and made four first team outings last season and capped them with a goal against Kigezi Home Boys in Stanbic Uganda Cup in Kabale.

Onyango has been on the sidelines for a couple of seasons after he surpassed the age cap of junior football.

Onyango and Mukisa recently signed a five-year professional contract apiece with the Eastern Giants.

The club now boasts of seven talented players on the first team that have graduated from the juvenile side. Martin Aprem, Simon Peter Oketch and Thomas Kabale make that list, and others are Reagan Kalyowa and Hamis Tibita.

OFFICIAL: MIDFIELD MAESTRO KASONKO SIGNS

George Kasonko will play for BUL FC for at least the next two seasons.

Kasonko, 25, has this evening penned a two-year deal with us.

Upon his arrival Kasonko said; “BUL FC is the best team in Uganda. As it is with any other player, I also want to win trophies. The club has exciting objectives like winning the league and featuring on the continent. That is why I have come to join efforts with my teammates to see these dreams come true.”

Alex Isabirye, the BUL FC team manager, believes the genius central midfielder is a big fish hooked.

“George is a very good and responsible player. I expect the team to make big strides because I am confident he has come with great value.”

The anchorman joins us from city neighbours – Busoga United to make the total number of new arrivals to four.

OFFICIAL: EASTERN GIANTS SIGN URA GOALKEEPER

Manager Alex Isabirye unveils goalie Hannington Ssebwalunyo in Bugembe

BUL Football Club is delighted to announce the re signing of goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo from URA FC on a one year loan deal.

The 30 year old net minder has completed his medical and will now join the rest of the squad.

“I am pleased to comeback home. This is where everything in regard to my topflight football started from.”

“I promise to do my best to add value to the club. Therefore, the technical team and the fans should expect great performances from me.”

“Home is home and there is no place that is better than home. I now feel very good, calm and happy,” Ssebwalunyo told bulfc.co.ug.

He moved to BUL FC in 2017/18 season in which he made his Uganda Premier League debut before he made a switch to Maroons FC in 2019.

Eastern Giants team manager, Alex Isabirye, commented:

“We conceded silly goals last season. Ssebwalunyo is one of the best goalkeepers in the country and I am sure his experience will help the team improve in that department.”
