The last international break of the year is now behind us, the focus returns to Uganda Premier League and the Eastern Giants make a trip to lower side URA FC on Saturday.
The match will be played from MTN Omondi stadium in Kampala at 3PM, and it is the Eastern Giants’ second game on the road before another successive trip to SC Villa two days later.
BUL currently sits in a respectable fourth place with nine points after four rounds and another win on Saturday will take them back to third on the log.
URA FC, who have played only two league games this season, are comfortably languishing in 13th position on the 16 team table.
This will be the 21st meeting between the two sides.
Team News
Alex Isabirye will have to do without teenagers Allan Kiggundu and Simon Peter Oketch because of injuries. The rest of the squad are available for selection.
Coach’s comments
“It is not going to be an easy game. We lost to URA FC last season but I will not over think about last season,” Isabirye said.
“Nevertheless, we expect a good game because we have prepared well; we shall put up a strong challenge because this season we are educating our players to become competitive.”
“The only difference is that we are playing a URA side that has got some experience from CAF competitions. But I believe if you want to make your team great, you have to play sides like them.”
“We have had a big rest and we all know that when a player rests for more than ten days, the body relaxes and this game will be like we are just starting the season.”
“The absence of Simon Peter Oketch poses some difficulties for us because he has been playing well against URA but we shall try to do what we can to get the three points.”
