MATCH PREVIEW: SC VILLA VS BUL FC IN STANBIC UGANDA CUP ROUND OF 32
Stanbic Uganda Cup
Date: Wednesday, 25th February, 2026
Venue: FUFA Stadium Kadiba
Time: 8pm
BUL Football Club is set to play away to SC Villa in the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the FUFA Stadium Kadiba on Wednesday.

The Eastern Giants progressed to this stage of the competition after a 7-0 mauling of Agape United in the round of 64, almost three weeks ago in Kotido.
Karim Ndugwa was the star of the moment, scoring four of their seven goals. Before his feat, Seiri Arigumaho had already scored a hat-trick in the opening 13 minutes of the game to set BUL FC on the course.
On the other hand, SC Villa advanced to the round of 32 after beating Pallisa Hospital 2-1 in Pallisa, with David Owori and Aslam Semakula scoring their goals.

Tomorrow’s game is going to be the second meeting between the sides this season.
They have already faced each other in the first round of the Uganda premier league, where BUL FC won 2-1 at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, in late January.
Team News
Head coach Alex Isabirye has confirmed Martin Aprem will miss tomorrow’s outing, but the pair of Nicholas Mwere and Walter Ochora will have to undergo a late fitness test before the game to assess their availability.
Alex Isabirye’s remarks about the game
“I thank God for the gift of life and for our last game against KCCA FC. The last time we played SC Villa was at home in the league, and we won 2-1, but this is Uganda Cup, and every game is a final because it’s a knockout tournament.”
“The approach is going to be different from that of the league. I know they have also prepared well for us, but to build a legacy, we have to play and win against the best. We are prepared for the game.”

Forward Karim Ndugwa’s remarks
“SC Villa is one of the most organized teams, but we are two times more organized than they are. We are all going out to fight.“
“Being the leading goal scorer in the tournament now pushes me to work harder because those below me in the rankings will also play games and score.“
“So, I have to work hard to see that I play and also score more goals.“
“To our 12th player ( the fan), you’re the most valuable player of the team. We call upon you all to come and rally behind us tomorrow as we fight to see that we advance to the next round.”
