POST MATCH REPORT: BUL FC 0-2 ENTEBBE UPPC FC
BUL FC 0 – 2 Entebbe UPPC
FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru 27 November 2025
BUL FC suffered its first home defeat of the 2024/25 season when Entebbe UPPC secured a 0‑2 victory at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru. The result terminated BUL’s unbeaten home run that had endured since December 4th 2024.

Match Context and Background
Entering the fixture, BUL FC were eager to maintain their home‑advantage, having recorded a series of positive results at Njeru. Entebbe UPPC, meanwhile, being new entrant in the SUPL 2025/2026 had only won way on road and victory against BUL was their second.
First‑Half Analysis
The opening half was characterised by BUL’s dominance in possession and chance creation, yet a lack of clinical finishing defined the narrative.

Early moments set the tone: a foul on Achidi at the edge of the box (1’) led to a Mugulusi freekick that Bakali headed over the bar. Subsequent attempts followed thick and fast – Achidi’s solo effort on the right flank (4’) produced a cross that Karim headed wide, while still Achidi a play‑maker pass (7’) was comfortably gathered by UPPC goalkeeper Omedwa. The most glaring miss came in the 12th minute when Mugulusi, after a precise cross from Denis Sewagudde, tapped the ball just wide.
Entebbe UPPC, though largely on the back foot, fashioned occasional threatening moments. Isa Bugembe’s breakaway in the 17th minute was thwarted by Denis Sewagudde’s timely intervention, and Hassan Ssenyonjo’s open‑net chance (20’) epitomised the team’s wastefulness in front of goal.

By halftime, despite BUL’s 0‑0 dominance on the scoreboard, the statistical disparity told a different story: BUL generated 8 shots (3 on target) against UPPC’s 3 shots (2 on target).
Second‑Half Turnaround
The interval reshuffle by Entebbe’s coaching staff proved decisive. Just four minutes into the second half (49’), Ambrose Kigozi broke the deadlock, netting the opening goal.
Six minutes later (56’), UPPC doubled the lead, exploiting BUL’s waning defensive composure. The two‑goal cushion shifted momentum irrevocably toward the visitors.

BUL attempted a tactical response by introducing fresh legs. Amisi Businge made his league debut, replacing Bakali in the 62nd minute, while striker Seiri Arigumaho entered for Achidi (55’). Despite heightened urgency and increased pressing, BUL failed to convert their opportunities, culminating in a 0‑2 loss.
Tactical Observations
- Defensive Solidity: Entebbe UPPC’s disciplined backline and goalkeeper Omedwa’s timely interventions neutralised BUL’s attacking threats.
- Substitution Impact: While BUL’s substitutions injected energy, they lacked the immediate goal‑scoring catalyst required to change the scoreline.
- Set‑Piece Inefficiency: Despite several set‑piece opportunities (freekicks, corners), BUL could not generate a single goal, reflecting poor execution.
BUL FC shall return in action on 6th December at FUFA technical center Njeru as we host the table leaders KCCA at exactly 4pm.
