BUL Football Club Jinja is delighted to announce that Walter Ochora has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until June 2023, with the option to extend for a further year.

Ochora, 24, said: “Since I came to BUL, it’s been a brief period that have passed so quickly. I am very proud to sign my new contract and continue my stay at this great club. I want to thank everybody that showed me huge support, the management, my team-mates and the fans at large.”

“I want to let everyone know that I will give everything I have to repay BUL and deliver success over the years to come. I’m still young with a lot more to learn and I can’t wait to continue my progress under manager Alex Isabirye.”

Alex Isabirye said:

“Ochora fully deserves this contract. He mastered club’s philosophies very well, he has worked really hard at every level and he always believes in himself which is a great attribute to have for any player.”

Head coach Arthur Kyesimira has confirmed that Fredson Gwoto is BUL FC’s new captain.

The 26year-old has been at the club since he joined from Admin FC in 2019, the coach said he will now lead the team out with immediate effect.

“Gwoto will be wearing the captain’s armband with effect from today. We thank the outgoing leadership of captain Dennis Okot Oola and Jimmy Kulaba for taking the club to where it is now but we felt the group needed a fresh breath in life.” Assistant coach Dan Mubiru stated after the evening training session.

Equally, Gwoto was quick to appreciate the trust coaches have put in him.

I know this hasn’t come by mistake but rather working hard and doing what coaches expect out of me. Being disciplined, respectful and God-fearing are the other aspects of my strength.”  Gwoto revealed.

Fredson will be deputised by Walter Ochora, Jimmy Kulaba and Tibita Hamisi as 2nd, 3rd and 4th team captains respectively.

This is not the first team Gwoto is captaining, but he is also the current skipper of Bukeddi Province team and he was Admin FC’s team captain before joining BUL FC.
