It is derby time in Jinja City as BUL Women Football Club make the short trip to face city rivals Jinja Lady Eagles tomorrow, Saturday 31st October 2026 at PMM Girls Playground

Kick-off is at 11:30 AMin the highly anticipated Jinja Derby.

For the first time in the history of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Elite League, BUL Women FC and Jinja Lady Eagles will meet. There is no head-to-head record between the two sides, making tomorrow’s encounter historic for women’s football in Jinja City.

Both teams are pooled in the Elgon Conference this season under the new three-conference format introduced by FUFA for the 2026/27 season.

BUL Women FC started the 2026/27 campaign with two games in the Elgon Conference. The Queens of Jinja opened the season away to Lira City Queens FC on Matchday 1 and followed it up with a home fixture against Busoga Queens FC on Matchday 2. The team has shown great character in the opening games and currently sits on top of Elgon Conference table with 6 points from the first two outings.

Jinja Lady Eagles, who are hosting the derby, have also played one game, haven’t registered a win yet so far this season. The derby presents a perfect opportunity for BUL WFC to strengthen the lead on the table.

TEAM NEWS

Head Coach James Magala has confirmed that the squad is fully fit and available for selection ahead of the derby.

However, the team will be without four players who are sitting their Senior Four UCE examinations. These are Nakato Francisca, goalkeeper Anguti Evelyn Mary and Namwebya Teddy.

In a major boost for the Queens of Jinja, midfielder Mugide Lillian returns to the squad after a long spell on the sidelines due to injury. Her return gives Coach Magala more options upfront.
