MATCH PREVIEW: BUL FC HOST BUSOGA UNITED IN JINJA DERBY

Head coach Arthur Kyesimira speaks to players during a league game

MATCH: BUL FC VS BUSOGA UNITED

LEAGUE: UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

DATE: APPRIL 24, 2021

VENUE: KYABAZINGA STADIUM BUGEMBE

KICK OFF TIME: 4:00PM

Arthur Kyesimira’s Eastern Giants will look to continue their much improved form  at home when they take on cross city rivals Busoga United at Kyabazinga Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

BUL FC have been clinical in recent home wins against Blacks Power and UPDF FC, netting seven goals over two dominant displays. And Kyesimira’s attackers will be determined to cause problems for United’s backline when they meet in the return leg of this season’s Jinja derby.

BUL and Busoga come into this mouthwatering clash on the back of  differing results during last time out.

While the Eastern Giants battled to a brilliant win over UPDF, thanks to Deogracious Ojok and Simon Oketch’s brace goals on Tuesday, Busoga United suffered heartbreak as Richard Matovu struck a cracker in the second half to condemn them to defeat against Kyetume at Nakisunga playground.

They are now three games without a win on the road.

Four points separate both sides. BUL FC sit 9th on the UPL table with 24 points. While for Busoga United, who are fighting for their lives, are in 13th place with 20 points, just four off the drop zone.

This will be the 10th league meeting between the two teams.
