BUL’s Musa Esenu spent the 2017/18 season at Busoga United, joining from Vipers SC on a season long loan and scored nine league goals while there before he headed to KCCA FC the following season.
He then joined BUL Football Club where he has established himself as one of the key pillars of the team since 2019.
Now, he is set to face his former paymasters and he says that he is happy and looking forward to it.
“I am happy that I will be playing against a team that revived my career,” Esenu remarked while speaking to BUL media team
“My form had gone absolutely down and everything of mine was in limbo, but, they gave me a chance to play football again.”
“This helped me regain form and hit the heights where I am now.”
The Eastern Giants are recently on a fine run at home, having not lost in their last four games at Bugem and Esenu says, they are eager to extend the fantastic run on Saturday despite the visitors exhibiting good performances in their recent outings.
“They have somehow improved as compared to how they started the season, but, we are also on a good form and we need a positive result on Saturday.”
“We are going to put up a good performance and win the game because we have prepared very well.”
BUL FC will take on Busoga United on Saturday April 24 at Kyabazinga stadium, Bugembe in what is expected to be the biggest Jinja derby of all time.
