Ibrahim Mugulusi during training this morning

Ibrahim Mugulusi has told former pay masters Busoga United to expect defeat when they face BUL FC in the Uganda Premier League on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder, part of the Eastern Giants side that defeated Busoga United in the first leg, believes his side will have an edge when it comes to the meeting between the two teams at Kyabazinga stadium.

“We have a crucial game against Busoga United. Currently, they are on a good run but we are ready to face them. We are very confident because we won against them in the first leg at their own turf. Now they are coming at ours. We have the home advantage and we are sure we can beat them,” Mugulusi noted.

Mugulusi played for Busoga United before crossing to rivals BUL Football Club last year, his young brother – Ismail, still turns out for the same team. The silky player also revealed he holds many good friends from there but warned they should not expect any warm welcome.

“They are my former club yes but that was last year, now, I am in BUL FC.”

“I have good friends there but when it comes to football, friends are put aside and then do the job as required of you.”

BUL FC won the first leg 3-1 away to Busoga United in an entertaining game that was played in December last year. Joseph Semujju capped his fantastic performance with a hat trick for the Eastern Giants. Jerome Kirya could only afford a consolation goal for the hosts
